Description
The Salvador SuperPush 200 is a fully automatic programmable crosscut saw designed to increase productivity, improve timber yield and reduce manual handling in solid wood processing environments. Built as a technological progression from traditional crosscutting methods, the SuperPush 200 combines automatic length measuring, optimisation software, defect marking, high-speed positioning and safe enclosed cutting in one robust production machine. It is particularly well suited to furniture and joinery, building and construction, pallet, case and packaging industries, timber merchants and sawmills, staircase manufacturing and other businesses cutting solid wood to repeatable finished lengths.
At the heart of the machine is Salvador’s S4U software and numerical control system, developed to make automatic crosscutting easier to manage, monitor and optimise. The modern interface gives operators clear visibility of cutting lists, board data, machine status, diagnostics and production information through a full HD screen. Compared with previous software platforms, S4U provides a more intuitive interface, improved communication between machine components, enhanced diagnostics, faster feedback from installed peripherals and greater flexibility for accessories such as ejectors, trap doors, printers and outfeed screens.
The software allows operators to manage multiple cutting lists, assign quality grades, set priorities and control programme-specific parameters such as blade rise, cutting speed, trim cuts and waste percentage. Cutting lists can be entered directly at the machine or prepared externally, helping production teams move away from manual measuring, marking and stop-based cutting. S4U also supports advanced production features including improved finger joint recovery, width detection, virtual ejector management, enhanced trap door control and the ability to interface with pre-optimisation systems where required.
The SuperPush 200 is designed to make better use of timber. Compared with traditional crosscutting methods, the machine can increase yield by 15% or more, reduce labour by over 50%, reduce reliance on highly skilled manual operators and improve overall throughput while maintaining a safe working process. This makes it a strong choice for manufacturers who need to reduce waste, improve consistency and bring greater control to their cutting operation.
Material is loaded onto a 30-degree inclined infeed table, which helps keep boards naturally squared against the rear fence for accurate cutting. The infeed pusher is controlled by numerical control and driven by a brushless servo motor for consistent power and positioning accuracy. As the material enters the cutting cycle, Salvador’s Total Optic system scans the board, reads its length and detects luminescent defect marks without the need for manual adjustment for different timber sizes. This allows the SuperPush 200 to optimise around defects, lengths, priorities and cutting lists, helping operators recover more value from each board.
The machine is built for demanding production use. The heavy-duty pusher carriage runs on twin external rectified guides and is powered by a high-precision toothed belt with a multi-strand steel core. The rear infeed fence is formed from a substantial aluminium beam mounted on a solid steel machine frame and protected by a hard-wearing steel sleeve. This robust construction is intended to provide long-term accuracy, stability and low maintenance in busy workshops.
The sawing unit continues the same 30-degree table inclination through the cutting area, helping to maintain consistent material positioning through the cut. The SuperPush 200 can be configured with 500 mm or 550 mm sawblades, motor powers of 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW or 11 kW, and infeed table lengths from 2.1 m to 7.1 m, depending on the required cutting section, timber length and production requirement.
Cutting time can be adjusted to suit the material, with the workpiece held securely by a pneumatic top pressure beam that automatically adjusts its downstroke to the thickness being processed. Electro-pneumatic alignment pushers before and after the blade help maintain accurate squaring during the cutting cycle.
For applications where finish, surface protection and positioning accuracy are especially important, the SuperPush 200 can be specified with Salvador’s Accurate package. This option is aimed at customers processing high-value components, painted or wrapped profiles, coated bars, or work where cut quality and squareness are critical. The package brings together a floating pneumatic clamp, front aligner, alignment wheel, horizontal infeed and outfeed alignment systems, scratch-resistant stainless-steel coating, precision sawblade and belt transmission to improve cut precision, finish and material handling. The floating clamp helps maintain contact between the pusher and the workpiece during positioning, while allowing the material to move with reduced friction across the machine surfaces.
Further productivity options can be added to suit the required production flow. These include an automatic rotation and ejection outfeed system, waste trap door for trim and end cuts, second outfeed screen, label printer, gravity pre-load system and left-to-right feed configuration. The optional rotation and ejection outfeed system allows complete sequences of cut pieces to be ejected in one cycle during the return phase of the pusher, helping to improve throughput without adding lost time to the process.

FAQs
The Salvador SuperPush 200 is used for automatic crosscutting, length optimisation and defecting of solid wood. It is designed for manufacturers who need to cut timber into repeatable finished lengths while improving yield, reducing manual handling and increasing production efficiency.
No. The SuperPush 200 is designed for making straight, 90 degree cuts only. For angle cutting, the Salvador SuperAngle 600 is suitable.
The machine uses optimisation software to calculate the best cutting sequence from each board, taking into account cutting lists, priorities, quality grades, trim cuts and waste percentage. It can also detect marked defects, helping operators recover more usable components from each length of timber.
Yes. Cutting lists can be entered directly at the machine or prepared externally, depending on the production setup. This helps office and production teams plan work more efficiently and eliminates the need for manual data input at the machine.
The SuperPush 200 is primarily designed for processing hard wood and softwood timber, but can also be used to cut wood-based materials such as MDF or melamine faced chipboard (MFC), recycled plastics, kevlar, laminate composite flooring, luxury vinyl flooring and other materials. Daltons can advise whether the SuperPush 200 is appropriate for your application.
Yes. As the sole UK and Ireland agent for Salvador products, Daltons provides specification advice, delivery, installation, commissioning, operator training and long-term service support for the Salvador SuperPush 200.
