Not all machinery needs replacing. With expert rebuilding and targeted PUWER upgrades, existing equipment can be restored to safe, reliable operation extending service life while maintaining compliance.
Daltons provides professional machine rebuilds and safety upgrades designed to protect productivity, reduce capital spend and meet legal obligations.
Daltons offers a complete rebuild and upgrade service for industrial machinery, combining mechanical expertise, electrical engineering and compliance-led safety improvements.
[01]
Restore worn or tired machinery through strip-down, inspection and replacement of critical components, returning machines to “as new” condition.
[02]
Upgrade outdated control systems, wiring and safety circuits to improve reliability, usability and compatibility with modern standards.
[03]
Bring machinery into line with PUWER requirements through guarding, interlocks and control enhancements, without unnecessarily restricting functionality.
[04]
Upgrading to the latest tooling technology can increase production quality, reduce operator risk, limit noise and lower running costs.
Daltons’ rebuild work is carried out within our dedicated engineering facilities, giving customers full confidence in quality and control.
Our capabilities include:
Experienced mechanical and electrical engineers
CNC and manual machining capability
Surface refinishing and protective painting
Electrical panel building and control integration
Full functional and load testing
This in-house capability allows Daltons to manage complex rebuilds efficiently and consistently.
Every rebuild or upgrade follows a structured, documented process to ensure quality, safety and transparency.
[01]
Each project begins with a full on-site or workshop assessment to review machine condition, identify risks and define the scope of work. This stage ensures the rebuild is properly planned, documented and aligned with operational requirements from the outset.
[02]
The machine is carefully dismantled so all mechanical, electrical and safety-critical components can be fully inspected. This allows hidden wear, damage or obsolete systems to be identified early and addressed before rebuild work begins.
[03]
Worn, damaged or outdated parts are repaired or replaced using approved components to restore reliability and performance. Where required, electrical, control and safety systems are also upgraded to meet current operational and compliance standards.
[04]
Once work is complete, the machine is reassembled, aligned and tested under controlled conditions to confirm safe operation. Final documentation, compliance records and handover support are then provided before the machine returns to service.
Daltons delivers engineering and support services within regulated environments, supported by recognised certifications, audited systems and compliance-led processes.
