Introduction
Daltons is looking for an ambitious Regional Business Development Manager to develop and grow our customer base across North England and Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's longest-established industrial machinery suppliers, representing some of Europe's leading machinery manufacturers including Kimla, SCM, Salvador, Elcon, Stenner, Phillipson and Wadkin.
Working from home and travelling throughout your territory, you'll help manufacturers improve productivity through advanced machinery, automation and engineering solutions, supported by our experienced technical, service and demonstration teams.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities across a diverse range of manufacturing industries.
The role combines consultative selling, technical problem solving and long-term relationship management, helping customers invest in machinery that improves productivity, quality and efficiency.
You'll work closely with our product specialists, engineers and showroom team to deliver demonstrations, develop proposals and support customers throughout their investment journey.
What You'll Be Doing
Developing new business throughout North England and Scotland.
Managing and growing existing customer relationships.
Identifying machinery opportunities across manufacturing industries.
Visiting customer sites to understand production requirements.
Arranging and supporting machinery demonstrations.
Preparing quotations and commercial proposals.
Maintaining an active sales pipeline using our CRM system.
Working closely with our technical and service teams to deliver outstanding customer support.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and solving customer problems.
Previous experience selling industrial machinery or technical equipment would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from individuals with experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical sales who are looking to develop their career.
You'll need to be:
Self-motivated and organised.
Comfortable managing a large geographical territory.
Confident communicating with customers at all levels.
Commercially aware with a consultative approach.
Willing to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight stays.
In possession of a full UK driving licence.
