The Wadkin DM/V is a heavy-duty, industrial hollow chisel mortiser designed for high-precision, repeatable mortising in demanding woodworking environments. Built to Wadkin’s renowned engineering standards, this machine offers exceptional durability, accuracy and long-term reliability.
At the heart of the DM/V is its vibratory mortising head, a unique feature that significantly reduces cutting effort while improving productivity. By introducing controlled vibration to the chisel, the machine reduces operator fatigue and allows mortises to be produced more efficiently—cutting effort by over 66% compared to conventional mortisers .
The machine is equipped with a large, precision-machined work table with smooth longitudinal and lateral movement, ensuring accurate positioning and ease of operation. A robust clamping system securely holds material in place, while the adjustable stops and turret system allow for fast, repeatable mortising operations—ideal for batch production work.
Designed for versatility, the DM/V can also be adapted for boring operations, making it a flexible addition to any workshop or production facility.
