Kimla BlackBird Desk Top CNC Router

The smallest machine available in the BlackBird range offering a compact footprint with working area options between 500 x 500 mm through to 1000 x 1200 mm. The multi-purpose capabilities of the machine make it suitable for Educational establishments, small sign makers, light duty woodworkers and other companies with smaller production needs machining cardboard, plastic, wood, aluminium and other composites.

All BlackBird machines feature the Dynamic Vector Analysis Control System – a unique algorithm developed by Kimla processing 15,000 lines of G-code per second resulting in smooth regulation of the feed speed and spindle rotation.
Precision ground and hardened helical rack drives (for the X and Y axis), ballscrews (for the Z axis) and all optical sensors are fully enclosed minimising cleaning and maintenance and increasing machine life.

Kimla machines are built to the highest standards using heaving duty steel frames, precision ground for maximum stability and accuracy. In this case, it enables the compact BlackBird to be installed as a desk top machine without compromise.

As standard the machine is equipped with Automatic Tool Length Correction – the machine physically measures the tool length after each tool change to compensate for wear and avoid any tooling collisions by operator error.

Anodized aluminium T-slot tables allow flexibility to secure all manner of material types, with options for vacuum or hybrid tables serviced by Becker pumps.
Further options include dedicated free standing control unit, Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), pressure extraction shoe, dust hood etc to tailor each machine to your requirements.
