Elcon DSX Vertical Panel Saw

The Elcon DSX range increases the maximum depth of cut from the standard 54mm to 80mm, with an increased motor size to suit the 300mm diameter sawblade. Sheet material capacity includes 3300 x 1550mm, 3300 x 1850mm and 4300 x 2150mm depending on the frame size. Multiple sheets can be stacked increasing efficiency (eg 4 x 18mm thick boards).

The automatic panel support moves out of the way by means of compressed air when cutting horizontally to avoid damaging the support strips. The totally enclosed sawblade ensures safe cutting at all times. The cutting head itself is counter balanced making it light and easy to use, while the high speed saw unit greatly reducing the chance for breakout on material. Digital readouts to the horizontal and vertical axis make accurate panel sizing quick and easy.

An automated cutting cycle can be included as an option (DSXE) taking the effort out of panel sizing. With a touch of a button the machine will position the saw head, plunge, cut and return to the start of the cycle. This can prove invaluable when cutting larger panels or tougher materials.
