New Machines / Panel Saws (Vertical)
Elcon DSX Vertical Panel Saw
The DSX range has an increased maximum depth of cut from the standard 60 mm (as on the DS) to 80 mm due to being equipped with a 300 mm diameter sawblade. The larger 300 mm diameter saw is operated through a pneumatic plunge mechanism, vastly reducing operator fatigue.
The Elcon DSX is available in three standard frame sizes:-
155 frame size - 3300 x 1550 mm maximum cutting capacity
185 frame size - 3300 x 1850 mm maximum cutting capacity
215 frame size - 4300 x 2150 mm maximum cutting capacity
An automated cutting cycle can be included as an option (DSXE), taking the effort out of panel sizing. With a touch of a button the machine will position the saw head, plunge, cut and return to the start of the cycle. This can prove invaluable when cutting larger panels or tougher materials.
A dedicated scoring unit is a retrofittable option on the DSX but the standard double-cut scoring system is standard (a limited saw plunge depth enables a back cut followed by a full plunge resulting in a scored finish).
