Elcon DS Vertical Panel Saw

The DS series steps up from the entry level D offering a wealth of options and increased versatility. With the large electronic digital readout option to both the horizontal and vertical axis repeatability of accuracy between different operators is guaranteed.

The Elcon DS is available in three standard frame sizes:-

155 frame size - 3300 x 1550 mm maximum cutting capacity

185 frame size - 3300 x 1850 mm maximum cutting capacity

215 frame size - 4300 x 2150 mm maximum cutting capacity

(Note: bespoke frame sizes are available on request)

The DS model is capable of cutting single or multiple sheets up to a thickness of 55 mm. For cutting depths of up to 80 mm please see the Elcon DSX model.

As with all Elcon models the DS features a pneumatic shifting support frame - when cutting horizontally it is sometimes necessary to move the material support strips out of the cutting line. This is done automatically on all Elcon models ensuring no damage is caused to the machine.

A dedicated scoring unit is a retrofittable option on the DS but the standard double-cut scoring system is standard. (A limited saw plunge depth enables a back cut followed by a full plunge resulting in a scored finish).

The totally enclosed sawblade ensures safe cutting at all times. The cutting head itself is counter-balanced making it light and easy to use, while the high speed saw unit greatly reduces the chance for breakout on material.
