Machines
The Phillipson range of precision Disc, Belt and Contour Sanding Machines are produced by Daltons using their own machine shop and manufacturing facility in Nottingham. In addition Daltons own the manufacturing and marketing rights to the Gaduate Woodturning Lathes. The company also have the Diplomat Vibratory Head Chisel Mortiser manufactured specially for them within the European Community.
Spare Parts
Using their wide experience and in-hopuse engineering facilites Daltons are able to manufacture or obtain spare parts for almost any type of woodworking machine as well as taking on sub-contact work when required for other suppliers.
Braking for woodworking machines
DC injection braking systems for most types of machinery can be supplied by Daltons who have vast experiance in this area. Braking devices for single motor machines to multi-braking units for more complex equipment such as Planer/ Moulders, Tenoners, etc, are widely supplied and fitted by Daltons using their own electrical engineers. Panels to contain multi-braking devices are manufactured and can be fitted on site or in-house.
Rebuilding
Many woodworking machines currently in use are no longer capable of delivering optimum performance due to worn or defective components attributable to many years of intensive use. To make matters worse such equipment is frequently in breach of current woodworking machine safety regulations and in particular The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
Accordingly, Daltons offers a comprehensive rebuilding and updating package which is second to none. Machines can be collected from site using our own specialist transport, rebuilt to a condition indistinguishable from new, updated with regard to guarding, braking systems, etc to enable them to comply with regulations and then returned, reinstalled and commissioned, often at a fraction of the cost of a new replacement.
Indeed, new replacements are sometimes difficult or impossible to obtain, making this service even more useful in extending the life of equipment which may be of unique benefit to its user.
